Creation of a wooden house for... a golf simulator

The starting point for this project was highly original: how to create a house capable of housing a high-end golf simulator on a beautiful property in the countryside, attached to the main house and as discreetly as possible. Our clients are avid golf enthusiasts and wanted to get closer to greens around the world by playing in virtual mode.

We therefore studied the best location, the wooded area of the garden, and then designed a wooden building to blend in as much as possible with the “forest” spirit.

To obtain the building permit, we managed the entire interior/exterior design process, after which construction began.
The building, with a traditional four-sloped roof to preserve the Provençal spirit of the rest of the property, was built on a structure of raised blocks to limit soil mineralization. We clad it with full-height Red Cedar wood slats using a special framework. The building was particularly tall due to the size of the simulator. To break up the height and cubic effect and cover the outdoor terrace, we fitted part of the façade with a sort of arch serving as a roof overhang.  The interior was designed in a simple style, in the spirit of a gym with a seating area and a changing room. Sobriety, but efficient use of space for playing in complete serenity!  

Our clients  are happy, as they can now enjoy their favorite sport every day without the constraints of traveling around the world!
