VILLA SAINT TROPEZ
More than twenty years ago, these clients purchased a truly unique home in Port-Grimaud. At the time, it was a former restaurant with a terrace opening directly onto the canal, and the entire space was on one level.
They entrusted us with the mission of transforming this professional space into a family home, a project that we successfully delivered.
Pleased with the result, they later called on Mr. Florentin again for other projects, including in the Paris region—most notably the renovation and interior design of a large apartment for one of the family’s brothers.
The years went by, and today the children and grandchildren bring life and joy to this cherished vacation home.
The new project aimed to transform the former TV lounge into a dedicated bedroom for the teenagers and younger children.
This new space needed to include five beds, a small TV corner, a comfortable built-in bench, and two coffee tables.
The flooring was replaced with a durable herringbone-style seagrass finish, elegant yet easy to maintain.
The room was equipped with air conditioning and preserved its natural light thanks to a glazed opening onto the main living area. For nighttime privacy, a venetian blind integrated between the glass panes allows the space to be closed off as needed.
We also extended the custom-made sliding doors to close the bedroom seamlessly and create a cohesive design with the main living room.
In the main living area, we replaced the large dining table with a spacious corner sofa, complemented by a soft area rug and an elegant coffee table, creating a more relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.
We also designed a large high dining table adjoining the kitchen’s bar counter, accommodating up to eight guests, paired with comfortable bar stools.
The entire house was repainted in softer, warmer tones, giving it a cosier and more contemporary feel.
The result is an elegant and functional renovation that perfectly meets the family’s evolving needs, while preserving the soul of this vacation home with its distinctive character.
