OUR PROJECT
VILLA GRASSE
This English family, in love with authentic Provence, acquired an old property perched in a typical village in the hinterland, with panoramic views over the Mediterranean and surrounding hills.
The project had multiple objectives:
-
Obtain planning permission to extend the existing property.
-
Restructure the interior spaces in a new design that would suit the family.
-
Imagining a landscaped living space on the strategic part of the property that would integrate a large swimming pool, a comfortable pool house with summer kitchen, dining area, bread oven & barbecue area, a large pergola, stone terraces around the pool integrated into the greenery.
From this magical, peaceful spot, a single glance takes in the sea view, the Provencal village enthroned on its rocky outcrop, the garden planted with century-old olive trees, and the stone restanques planted with fragrant, flowering Mediterranean essences.
We have worked with authentic materials, using century-old salvaged beams, old tiles, hand-hewn local stone, stone slabs, custom wrought iron, etc. We have focused our attention on the lighting ambiances that transform these spaces into a delight when night falls, a gentle way of life in the midst of authentic nature, with the chirping of crickets and the lights twinkling in the distance.
